NOSE: moderately expressive; very rich; typical — nothing crazy going on here.

BODY: pale yellow color; medium-full to full bodied.

TASTE: rich; sweet; adequate acidity; green grapes; ripe, concentrated gooseberry; paired very well with spicy Thai cuisine. Due to the reputation of the 2018 vintage, I was prepared to be underwhelmed by a big, soft, overly-sweet Auslese with middling acidity — fortunately, that was not at all the case here. Plenty of acid to holds things together here; amazingly easy to drink; quite happy to have a couple more bottles, and a screaming-good deal at the $32 I paid. Gut impression score: 91 - 94.
