TN: NV A. Margaine Champagne Premier Cru Demi-Sec

Very high yum factor on this one. Don’t let the demi-sec scare you off.

Man, this stuff is fantastic. A joy of a wine. I know what you are thinking: 32g/l…but it is so balanced and yummy. There’s a sweet attack, with sweet white fruits and lemon, but don’t worry, it is no way cloying. It shows remarkable balance with tingly beads and brisk acid playing off the sweetness. Toasted breads/crackers in the middle. Only problem I had with this bottle is that it wasn’t a magnum; my wife and I ripped through it way too quickly. Glad to have more.

Thanks for the note…sounds great! Reading your note, I realized that I often dismiss demi-sec. Perhaps I shouldn’t!

Thanks, Athony! Not something I drink much of, just respect what Margaine does, and Brad Baker an others said this was top stuff. It is! Cheers!

Best demi-sec made IMO.

It’s a delicious wine. It ages well. The bottle I opened for the Margaine Zoom back in the spring was several years post-disgorgement.
