TN: 2019 Trediberri Dogliani "Bricco Mollea" (Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Dogliani)

A nose that makes me happy. Fresh snappy fruit, some tar, violets, and licorice. It’s midweighted, with a beautiful mix of snappy, crunchy, fresh dolcetto fruit, licorice, and some savory and spice tones, all nigh perfectly balanced with its underpinning acidic spice. This is thirst quenching and simply delicious dolcetto made for the table, and exactly what I want to drink when I drink dolcetto. Delicious. (90 pts.)

I love a good, honest Dolcetto.

Picked some of this up for $16. Just delightfully good juice. Enough stuffing to age for a while too. [cheers.gif]

I just recently had both the 2019 Trediberri Barbera and the langhe Nebbiolo. Definitely preferred the Nebbiolo. The Barbera seemed a bit too ripe and alcoholic as a result. Missing some of that freshness and quaffability I look for in these wines. The dolcetto sounds great.
