I have been making my way through quite a few value Bordeaux from 2000, with generally good results. This bottle is no exception. Little bit of funky earth upon opening, but that blew off quickly. Red licorice, sun baked earth and black pepper on the nose. Nice red fruit, spicy herbs and good acidity on the palate. Tannins completely resolved - not going to improve from here, but in no danger of falling off a cliff either.
