TN: 2017 Ayoub Chardonnay, Oregon

The wine is light yellow with a slightly green tinge. At right-out-of-the-fridge temperature, it was subtly flavorful, which I initially harshly judged as a little thin. As the wine warmed up a bit, the lemony-lime, green apple fruit became more prominent wrapped around a nice mineral/acid backbone. Still fairly light bodied I think, still on the subtle side pour moi, but very enjoyable as I gave the wine and myself time to get acquainted. I imagine this might be what a Chablis with finesse tastes like, although there may be another Burgundy white that would be a more appropriate comparison. (“out over my skies” here wrt Burgundy). Recommended.
