TNR: Pataille Aligotes

I’m curious to hear if anyone has any experience with the Pataille lieux-dits aligotés, as I just got some 2014 Auvonnes au Pépé and Les Champ Forey, and it seems like they are very small production.

bump!

Drank a 2018 Champ Forey in summer. It was very good, no note.

the auvonnes pepe always seems a bit oxidative to me, definitely one of the more rich expressions in the line up. champ forey reminds me of chablis. these two only see 12 months in barrel while the charme aux pretres and clos du roy get 24 months.

I have not tasted the wines, but there is a good episode of Levi Dalton’s I’ll Drink to That, #451 The Aligote Thread, that includes Sylvain Pataille and other producers. You might want to check it out.
