2000 Château Malescot St. Exupéry - France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Margaux (10/30/2020)
Lots of bricking on this one. Nose had that brett you get from CdPs but obviously not. This really opens up after 1/2 hr and the funkiness on the nose goes away. Lots of cedar and other aromatic woods, anise, blackberries, and tobacco. Nice long finish with noticeable tannins still there against the wonderful fruit. Why didn’t I purchase more of this? (94 pts.)
