It’s not Burgundy, but I’d be buying the 2017 Domaine Didier Dagueneau Blanc Fume de Pouilly Pur Sang - $70. That’s a great price that I haven’t seen since the 2004 vintage on release.
The 14 Cathiards are priced pretty well. I can’t comment on the Dageneau pricing as I’m not a buyer of those wines, so would listen to Kirk there.
Some of those wines aren’t priced at sale; the 16 Ramonet, for example, isn’t a great wine imho and isn’t really on sale.
Being in Canada, my opinion on price might be skewed but +1 on above! Also, the Silex 2017 seems like a good price to me (it’s 180 CAD here). But then again, you have to like the Dagueneau style… definitely not Burgundy!
I take it this deal isn’t at a local Ohio retailer–as I’m almost sure most of that isn’t distributed in Ohio? I like Ramonet–but haven’t had the Chassagne Montrachet level.
… and fellows I’m aware DD is not burgundy, that’s why I said + (plus) in the title, although I can see that it reads possible (Burgundy plus sale)
I’ve never had DD so maybe I’ll look towards that. I need 3 bottles to fill a case and these are my best bets I think, unless I just put some pedestrian daily drinkers in.
