Wine in the rain?

So FedEx delivered a case of wine on a Sunday (???) to my house and no one signed for it (???) so I didn’t notice it yesterday. Then last night a big storm came through. The exterior box is soaked and falling apart. Haven’t inspected the bottles yet, but I know given the producer it’s in cardboard, not styrofoam, inside. Am I fine/screwed/rolling the dice with these bottles? Thanks.

The worst that has happened is that the labels on the bottles are wet and perhaps ruined. The wine will be as good as it was either way.

I would remove the bottles carefully, avoiding touching the labels, and let them dry. If they were wet, they likely will dry back to their original appearance or close.

Take photos while you “unbox” to document any damage, and then decide whether to report/complain.
