2018 A. et P. de Villaine Bourgogne Côte Chalonnaise La Digoine - France, Burgundy, Côte Chalonnaise, Bourgogne Côte Chalonnaise (10/10/2020)
4h slow-ox and not much changed between the tasting pour and after the 4h in bottle. The nose initially hits with bramble & green stems but strong aromas of ripe cherry and spices follow. A hint of floral notes appear after some time in the glass. The palate is rich and full but with serious acidic structure and nice minerality that expresses itself over good length. The chewy tanins sneak up at the end and confirm that this will continue to get better over time. Good now but my preference for this wine is with more age. My next one in 7 to 10 years, no earlier (I've said that before and will power failed me...).
N.B.: i had this in bad stemware...
