Tasting notes, varietals, grapes - anything related to wine

Decanted for a couple hours (I forgot to get to it). Very dark purple in the glass, the nose is pretty expressive right off the bat with notes of black cherries, violets, mocha, and spice. Fairly tannic and firm, I think this wine will surely improve with short term cellaring. That said, at this stage I am not as impressed as the other DeNegoce wines I've tried, but it does have a big upside. Broad on the palate, with good acidity, and the black fruit profile shines through to the medium finish. I'd rate this 90-ish right now, with room for improvement over the next 5-10+ years.
