Just opened, and it’s gorgeous. Cross Riesling with molten metal and you get this wine. It’s going to take hours/days to find the depth here. More updates later.
Can’t remember…are these vines ex-Dönnhoff? If not, who holds that plot now?

Update a couple of hours after opening:
If you were to spritz citrus on iron rocks you might approximate this wine.
I left about 1/3 of the bottle to check tomorrow night. Glad to have 2 more.
Finished it up tonight, and the sheer density of this wine is impressive. Unraveling could take a decade.
