TN: 2002 Dominique Laurent Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Cazetiers

A smoky nose with plenty of Gevrey sauvage. There’s some undergrowth development and delicious red fruits at the wine’s core. It is full and flecked with mineral, with supple tannins and an expansive finish.

Thanks for the note, Jeremy,
I think Dominique’s wines can give value, even these older ones, eventually “eating their oak,” but I know that view is controversial and his is a style not everyone will like in any case.

Not controversial with me… I have had great wines from him… if you avoid drinking them very early…
