Proof that 2020 is the gift that keeps on giving, Taco Bell now has wine. In Canada.

I commit to doing my best to find, drink, and provide a TN for Jalapeño Noir.

(Via google, I found who is making the wine, and I have never heard of them. My hopes are not high.)

Does this mean they think Canadians have worse taste than Americans?

Maybe it'll be available on eBay like the Mc D's limited edition special sauce

I hear it's only available in the finer areas of Toronto, like Scarborough.

This news brings me great hope. I have always wanted a same-branded wine that pairs perfectly with a Big Mac and call it the “Really Effing Happy Meal!”

Although, there could be some issues to work out with MacDonald Winery. [cheers.gif] [cheers.gif]

I suspect the reason it isn't sold in the U.S. locations is because they would then have to apply for liquor licenses.

But as to the wine itself - if you're going to eat at Taco Bell in the first place then you're not expecting anything great so why should the wine be any different? Just another marketing gimmick.

Nice.

Notes of liquid smoke beans?

Guilty pleasure: I make a run for the Border about twice a year - I am a sucker for their Crunchy Taco Supreme. There is something decadent and indulgent about their taco meat - moist, greasy, delicious.

I hope you drink a bottle or two before you go. About the only time I've ever been able to keep down some Taco Bell, and the only time I've wanted to keep it down ha!

My guilty road trip pleasure is actually pretty wholesome: Del Taco bean and cheese burrito, with rice substituted for cheese, and plenty of green sauce (which, I am sure is hatch chile free!) The Taco Bell version can substitute, but many locations don't have green sauce. Wine with that would be hideous.
Cheers,
Paul

I'm confused - I've never been to one, but Taco bells have liquor licences?

The wine in question is made by Queenston Mile, which is a fairly young, but already well regarded small winery in NOTL with Rob Power (also of Creekside) as winemaker.

It went on sale this morning. The link on the Taco Bell website takes you to the winery's website (Queenston Mile Vineyard).

It's already sold out.

Dell Taco and Pup N Taco are each coming out with competing offerings. Dell Taco is releasing 'Ghost Pepper' Cabernet and Pup N Taco is has 'Smokey Salsa' Sauvignon Blanc. Sign up for your allocation ASAP, because offerings are limited.
