I'm also a newbie when it comes to D&R. If not for berserkers, I would have no idea. They seem to be in the vein of Carlisle and Bedrock. Is that right? If I was going to hunt down some of their wines to see what they are about, what should I look for?
Here are some notes from a tasting we did last year that included examples of most of their bottlings with a little age, though they keep expanding the range of varieties: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=164323&p=2831568&hi ... y#p2831568. This should give you some sense of their range of styles.

[worship.gif] [worship.gif] Huge thanks to everyone that is in on the pre-release. The grand release goes live on Thursday.

Thank you for all the positive notes above. The Fall wines are indeed bright. Early ventures will benefit from lengthy decants- The wines are light and structured.

The Zin is in line with our Especial wines. Crunchy, neon, and refreshing. I still rec. at least a 2hr decant.

The Syrah is super aromatic and has those Chalone tannins. It tastes / feels deeper / darker than the ABV suggests. The perfect low-ish ABV Winter wine.

The Chenin is the sleeper here. Texture, acid, and bonkers nose that ranges from pineapple, wool, to white pepper.

Evangelho Mourvèdre- It is so good. This vineyard is a treasure.

I bought a case but left plenty of bottles. For anyone on the fence, the Dirty and Rowdy wines are consistently interesting and refreshing. Buy with confidence.

This particular release, w Evangelho and Syrah, I was an especially greedy bastard.

Huge thanks to everyone for the incredible response- though the release ends on Friday we are nearly sold out on the reds.

2019 Brosseau Syrah - 3.5 cases
2019 Sonoma Valley Zin - 4 cases
2019 Evangelho Mourvèdre - 8 cases

The sleeper of this release is the Old Vine Chenin. It is electric.

Picked up six: two each of the Chenin, Zin, and Syrah. Would have liked more but I've been on a buying binge lately. I'm particularly excited about the Chenin. I've liked every D&R white I've ever opened.
