Why couple of weeks, it's stunning right now.
A couple weeks won't make much of a difference. As for myself I am in the throes of Dry January and expect to break it on Feb 6 with a tasting of the Yesterday Reserve with friends. I'm optimistic with the purchase based on the reviews from those who previously drank the Wine Access private labels.

Wait...you were able to order some just now? Lucky you...I would add more to my order if I could.
The Yesterday Reserve went back up for sale this afternoon (to at least North Carolina or maybe previous buyers?). No volume discounts for purchases of 6+ or 12+ though.

I had one the other day, and I thought it was really good for the price so I went back for half a case more (Have yet to figure out the two vineyards, with one being one of Kistler's early ones). On the nose you get your apple, citrus and some tropical fruit think pineapple, with some very subtle hints of vanilla. On the palate you find more delicious fruit, with a more pronounced apple, pear like flavor combined baking spices / vanilla. It's very "buttery", with a very creamy mouth feel, yet with enough acidity to make you want to go back for another sip. Drinks very easily, nothing over the top, great for a daily drinker paired with some Salmon and you're good to go!

Not for me. The two bottles of Yesterday Howell Mountain that I drank were great. One was a real show-stopper and the other was really good.

That is my plan this Saturday night. 2 hour decant for each and see what they show side-by-side.

Good to hear, thanks. Hopefully it stays that way and not the "smoke taint over time" situation.

I saw that come through too. I also love SLD generally, but the description of this wine sounded like an overextracted fruit bomb. But no way to know without trying it. At $20 or whatever it was, low risk

Almost certainly Bryant Family fruit. Same as The Commission but different wine makers.

Here was my tasting note from a Blind Tasting (double decant ~2 hours prior):
2018 Wine Access The Ringer -- Nice, mild nose of earthy cherries. Easy drinker with medium body on the palate. Smooth and enjoyable mild blueberry and strawberry fruit. An easy, nice wine. Would appeal across palates without offending nor wowing the crowd. Would pay $45 for this wine. Rated 7 out of 10.

All in all I liked the wine and would recommend it to anyone.

Based on "It comes from two incredible sources, one of which borders 100-point estates Kapcsándy and is a 50-yard dash from Cliff Lede," I think it would be Stags Landing Vineyard. I believe Kapcsandy is across Yountville Cross Road and Cliff Lede is just down the street.

Of course, there aren't any clues on the other vineyard, but I'm pretty sure this is one of them.

Debating between grabbing more 2018 Radio Silence or 2018 Moundsman. I still have a 6 pack of the Radio Silence awaiting, but the 21% discount makes it very tempting to put in an order, although it's too bad there are no more volume discounts on the bottles.

The CT reviews have me leaning more Radio Silence (I've had a bottle already and it's wonderful, albeit very young), but the extra variety would be nice.

Tasted the Moundsman on Friday night. As one of the least pricey Private Label Napa Cabs from Wine Access, tonight this was a real winner.

We poured it alongside the 2018 Yesterday Napa Reserve and a 2015 Sixteen Appellations. The 2018 Moundsman was the clear winner.

Moundsman Tasting Note: Decanted 3 hours. Excellent rustic nose of black pepper, sage and currants. Smooth on the mouthfeel, the wine resolved wonderfully into a creamy black currant with distinct notes of chocolate and a delicate minerality displaying the famous "Rutherford dust." Savory finish left everyone pleased with this quite enjoyable wine from beginning to end. At $30-$36 per bottle, this "cellar defender" is a fantastic QPR.

Side note on the Yesterday Reserve. This was my 2nd bottle of it and both times it has shown itself to be a fine wine but nothing spectacular (yet). I have had fantastic experiences with some of the other Wine Access private labels, namely the original Yesterday Napa, Yesterday Howell, and The Commission. We'll see if with some time the Yesterday Reserve brings more than just a solid Napa Cab experience.

Pretty sure this is Neal Family.

From a majestic estate that’s a Wine Enthusiast Editors’ Choice favorite at $45 per bottle...we assumed it was destined for the winery’s flagship $90 mountain-appellated bottlings...the Howell Mountain estate is a multigenerational passion project with over 40 years of Cabernet Sauvignon history

Neal’s Napa Valley Cab is $45 and was a WE Editors’ Choice back in 2007. Their Howell Mountain Cab goes for $90. I believe Neal is on its third generation, and while the winery is not 40 years old, their website says that they are “a family that has been dedicated to these vineyards for over 40 years.”

Tempted on this one...if I knew it was HM juice I’d definitely be in, but it’s labeled Napa Valley, not Howell Mountain. I already have a decent amount of private label 2018 cab at this price point, though.

What causes the taste of smoke tainted grapes not to show in early drinking but shows up years later?

Seems this would contradict the idea that those grapes were sold off, they indicate here they dropped the crop.

FWIW I have consumed two bottles of Yesterday Howell Mountain and they have been stellar with one being really spectacular. This offering is definitely one I wish I had more of, especially for the all-in price after discounts, etc.

I don't think many high-end wineries publicly acknowledge when they sell off their grapes, which is how we end up with these "NDA" wines from Wine Access
oh, I agree, I doubt any do. My point was though that this winery explicitly said they "dropped the crop", which I read as literal - drop it on the ground.

This is almost certainly Neal. The WA description dances around whether the actual grapes in the bottle come from Howell, as opposed to Neal being located on Howell. Sounds to me like the source is somewhere in the valley farmed by Neal. I was just at Neal last week and Mark said he's involved in some aspect of the farming for about 10% of all napa valley cab production. So that doesn't narrow things down very much. Still for $20 I would bet it's a solid QPR.

Anyone else try the 2018 Editorial Coombsville that was offered earlier? Mixed reviews on cellartracker...

FYI - there's a 2018 Halpin Coombsville NDA wine (clearly signaled to be Caldwell) that looks extremely similar to this one. Both offered at $40.

Agree on Neal. And the 2016 Stay Home is Antica. I've drunk several bottles of the latter and it's a great value for $20 if it ever reappears.

Will try the 2018 tonight and drop an impression.
