2017 Thierry Allemand Cornas Chaillot - France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Cornas (8/10/2020)
Rather demure and not giving a lot on opening. After taking on some air it shows notes of dark fruits, black olive, menthol, tar and meat. It has good depth, nice energy and a finish that is savoury and persistent. There are some engaging florals that come to the fore towards the end of the bottle.
