TN: 2011 Henri Boillot Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet

Loads of struck match to the aroma. There are notes of Arum Lily, pure white peach, aniseed and celery salt too. It is sappy, dense and direct in the mouth. It has great shape and intense core of fruit and such great balance and drive. The finish is flinty and oh so long.

Thanks for this great note, a lot of 2011 Henri Boillot has been top notch. Underestimated vintage for white Burgundy all together imo.

hardly ever come across Criots. Nice note.

For sure re ‘11. Semi-recently I had ‘11 Leflaive Pucelles and ‘11 Ramonet Puligny Enseignères and both were really phenomenal. Roulot also killed it in ‘11.

Boillot had a great CC in 11 too. PC sold a bunch of it (and actually delivered it!).

I accidentally bought a case 3 times . . . not remembering the last two times that I already owned it.

That’s the sort of ‘problem’ I would like to have!!!

So did Dauvissat!

Yes the 2011 HB CC was amazing! Sadly have no bottles left…
