Funny, my wife and I were at the coast in OR last weekend, drinking 2005 Daniel-Etienne Defaix Chablis 1er Cru Les Lys outside at dinner, and I commented how much I always enjoy crisp, minerally whites when drank near the ocean. Maybe it’s the power of suggestion, but I always find wines like that really delicious near the water.
