TN: 2017 Benoit Ente Bourgogne Blanc

Restrained, refined, crystalline; this has all the hallmarks of modern quality white Burgundy. Flinty, floral, lightly nutty. The texture is so, so elegant; the wine glides effortlessly over the palate, somehow creamy but weightless, with a really lovely smoky finish. The word that comes to mind is “pure”; nothing more than what the fruit offers.

I think I’ll put my other bottle away for awhile and see how it develops.
