Which brand and model doesnt go over 50 lbs for 12 standard size 750ml?
I think some people mentioned vinguardvalise tend to go over 50lbs.

I’ve never had it go over 50 lb and I transport a lot of champagne.

I have the regular 12 bottle one and it holds bigger champagne bottles ok unless you’re transporting 12.

Does anyone use the chiller insert?

I use them extensively, have not had any issues with them. Pre pandemic I travelled between the US and Brazil quite often, so the chiller sheets are quite helpful with the warmer weather down there. They’ve managed to keep the wines well chilled for over 16 hours with no issues. Only comment/recommendation is to use the moisture barriers they include as the chiler sheets do produce a good amount of moisture, which is an inevitability given its frozen state
