TN: 2005 Dominique Gallois Charmes Chambertin
Dense. Dark. Thick. Very good Charmes Chambertin with layered fruit behind a small wall of ripe tannins. Dark berries, nice lift and length, really good young wine. Hold. But be happy if you have it.

Never heard of this producer...and that is rare. Glad it showed some promise and current enjoyment.

Interesting that you opened an '05 GC, albeit Charmes. Good to know they continue to be promising.
Neils Bohr had a horseshoe over the door to his country house. A visiting student said to him: "you don't believe in that, do you?" Bohr replied, "of course not," and added, "but you don't have to believe in it for it to work."

FWIW he is apparently a cousin of Philippe Naddef. I have some 2010 Gevrey 1er Cru Les Petits Gazetiers but have not opened a bottle yet.
Cheers,

Alan I always enjoy your tasting notes on burgundies. I only have and have had the Gevrey village wines from Dominique Gallois but really enjoy them. Think I have a couple bottles of the 05 Gevrey AC.
