acquired from DaleW quite a while ago. This is lovely right now. It needs 30 minutes of air to throw off some bottle funk, but then the earthy, loamy tones combine with the remaining fruit to form a seamless whole. It’s still a touch rustic, but that just makes it more alive. The aromas take care of everything I need - drinking the wine is almost superfluous. Overall I would recommend drinking it now/soon, as there is a bit of finishing astringency that becomes the dominant aspect in the finish. Still a lovely Burgundy.

One of my never-tried, most-desired wines.

Happy to open a bottle if you ever make it down this way.

Don’t think I wouldn’t make a trip exclusively to hold you to this!

p.s. it will have to be a different vintage

Beautiful note. I have a special place for this family and their wines.
