Fantastic showing; the 09 was a bit unfocused last year but was phenomenal last night. Very precise with very fine bead, nice lemon zest with a bit of brioche on the nose and lovely palate with crisp acidity and minerality. Long finish. Beautiful wine.
I opened the 2008 Dom late yesterday afternoon and 3 of us found it very nice but somewhat unremarkable. Later, before dinner, I opened a 2006 Vilmart Coeur de Cuvee, and that got everyone excited! What an incredible wine. I have some of the 2009 Dom and it sounds like it might be open for business.
08 Dom is in hibernation atm in my opinion.

I haven’t opened a bottle this year because of my last couple of examples.
04 and 06 haven’t been great the last times I’ve opened them, haven’t tried 02 in awhile.

2009 Dom is increasingly difficult to find at retail. I’m looking to backfill a case but there isn’t much around in the marketplace.
