TN: 2013 M. Marengo Barolo Brunate

The normale Barolo is really good, this is unsurprisingly a step up. For a Barolo it’s quite dark. It has real density, lots of dark fruits, violets, roses. Plush and silky in texture, but not at all heavy or extracted, just lots of flavour. Really drinks incredibly well now, with further complexity to come. I have found recent vintages from Morengo to be excellent and they are very fairly priced.

Edited name - thanks gents!

I like Marengo Barolo. I tried few wines and vintages. I keep now:
Marengo Barolo Brunate 2013 riserva;
Brunate 2014; Brunate 2015 :wine_glass:

Very much like these wines. Brunate has always been my favourite but many times the Barolo Bricco delle Viole gives Brunate a run for the money, in my opinion.

And as Ofer pointed out - the name is Marengo. :slight_smile:
