2017 Vintage in California

I have started drinking some 2017 pinots across various producers in California and thus far am not clicking with this vintage. Is it too soon to tell about this vintage? I typically drink wine with about 5 years of age from vintage so I will continue to backfill 2012-2016 but I am still concerned as the 2017 vintage is the year I started purchasing wine at a much higher volume, and I have a lot of it. Since I started drinking wine (~2008 vintage), I have loved 2011 and 2012. 2013 seemed to be solid, 2014 seems to be fading much more quickly and I don’t really have a strong opinion one way or another on 2015 and 2016. Can we compare the 2017 vintage to any other years?

Which producers/wines have you had? 2011 & 12 were very different vintages than 17, so that might be it. But it’d help to have some idea of what wines you’ve had and, generally speaking, what you didn’t like (too much/little structure, too red or black fruited, etc).
