TN:1998 Chateau Saint-Go Saint-Mont

This is a pleasant surprise for a modest wine from south West France… I believe this is mainly Tannat, which explains how it has aged so well. Lovely notes of licorice and herbes de Provence on the nose. Acid filled palate with licorice, black fruit and still some lingering tannins on the finish. Going to be a great pairing for a burger on the grill.

Can’t go wrong with 2 saints!
