2012 Carlisle Zinfandel Bedrock Vineyard

Perfumed with bouquet of wild dark fruits and spices. Lively acidity and pure fruits on the palate with fine tannins. Nice finish. Still young and needs time.

2017 PYCM St Aubin 1er En Remilly

Stunning. White peach, honeysuckle, and a bit of flint and struck match on the nose that blew off quickly. Very transparent and zippy but not overwhelming acidity on the palate. Fantastic finish. I actually liked this a lot more than the Chenevottes the other day which was also fantastic. Young but still very enjoyable to drink. I have a bunch more of these and some Nicholas Mathis which I’m happy about.

Interesting duo! Thanks for the early-ish look on the PYCM.

Well, I figured for burgers on Memorial Day what better than zin; it was a bit heavy to keep going on after the food was done, though.
