2018 Presqu’ile Chardonnay Santa Barbara County - USA, California, Central Coast, Santa Barbara County (5/23/2020)
Typical nose. A slightly leaner Chard, with green to yellow fruits and some very mild florals throughout. Good acidity and no oak detected. A pleasant drinker, but still hint of that Chard medicinal/chemical taste that I tend to almost always taste on this grape, unless it’s done in a super-lean way. But I know that’s a problem with my palate and this grape, not the winemakers fault. This is a perfectly fine Chardonnay in a food friendly style. And a bargain at that price. (88 pts.)
