Wasenhaus

In Germany this winery has gained cult like status. What are your thoughts about their wines? Weissburgunder and Spatburgunder are wines I have no experience with, but I have a chance to purchase some of the Wasenhaus wines. The only bottle of Spatburgunder I own, is the Keller Burger GG 2017 and I haven’t cracked it. After drinking too many bottles of Chablis and German GG Reisling my palate has grown fond of wines with delicate fruit, great tension, acidity and mineral notes from the limestone soils. Is one vineyard better then the rest etc. The wines offered are the Filzen Chardonnay, Mohlin Weissburgunder, Vulkan, Bellen, Kanzel and Mohlin Spatburgunder.

Ridiculously good, very impressive wines. A 2016 Vulkan recently was a dead ringer for Volnay. Wish the wines were easier to find in the US
