2012 Henri Boillot 'Puligny Montrachet 1er Les Pucelles'. TNs

All opened over the last week.

Bottle #1 - PremOx
Bottle #2 - PremOx
Bottle #3 - PremOx
Bottle #4 - This one proper. Some matchstick, color still light, etc. Not the longest or most intense finish. Say 93 points.
Bottle #5 - PremOx
Bottle #6 - PremOx

1 good bottle out of a 6-pack. Seems still some PremOx issues going on…

OUCH

Jeez. Has the producer made any efforts around this issue? Or are new releases basically as vulnerable as stuff from 5-10 years ago?

Wow. That’s nasty. Better bust my '11 Mouchere quick smart!

I feel your pain. Most premoxed bottle I ever had was a 96 Ramonet Montrachet I brought to Jerry’s house after opening the most amazing bottle of that wine a few weeks earlier. But 5 of 6? Horrible.

Just unbelievable. It’s amazing when you think about the strides some of the premox poster children have made that a producer like Boillot would still be suffering from such a high incidence of premox.

well, it was an 8 year old wine. Wonder if anything has been done since . . .

I assume none of these used Diam closures?

Just to pile on, opened a '96 Bonneau de Martray Corton-Charlemagne and an '04 Girardin Chevalier-Montrachet last week–both pre-moxed. With the Chevy could really tell the density/quality of the underlying wine, but the pre-mox ruined it.
