TN: 2016 Raeburn PN [Russian River Valley]

2016 Raeburn PN [Russian River Valley] This is a big 14.5% abv fruity pinot, which leads off with cherry cough syrup and red licorice, and then some vanilla/oak. Low acid, no tannin, so more of a reading/quaffing kind of wine, that a food friendly one. On the palate rhubarb and cherries, with a medium 10-15 second finish. It’s well made popularly styled pinot, for those who like French oak. This was a thoughtful gift from a family member, and I’d buy it personally. It should be widely available, especially for a relatively new producer, given the owners history in wine distribution.

I’d slot into the B or B+ zone, but depends on your style preference. Not for ABC fans. I’m not a cork expert but the closure seemed kind of short, and might be agglomerated.
