TN: 1982 Prunotto Barolo Riserva Bussia (Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barolo)

  • 1982 Prunotto Barolo Riserva Bussia - Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barolo (5/1/2020)
Expressive youthful nose considering the age, generous slightly dry red fruit, strawberry jam, dry cherry, strong iron, cinnamon and sweet spices, tar, caramel, anise and earth. Excellent concentration, packed slightly dry red fruit, rich, ripe and chewy, good acidity, iron mineral, still showing strong coarse tannins and a long sweet dry cherry fruit driven finish with strong iron and cinnamon at the end. With air, it gets silkier, i.e. either the tannins get softer or my palate gets used to it. Showing the warm vintage but also the formidable structure. Very masculine iron driven wine. (95 pts.)
