Looks like just over 400 left still. Pretty clear evidence enthusiasm for DN is fading a bit.

Re: de Negoce offer
anybody heard anything about shipping the N.98 Viognier? this one was bottled in June 2020 so seems like it should be good to go?
Re: de Negoce offer
A month back, after non-sellouts for the Fair Play releases, followed by slow sales for n.91, 93 and 94, this same "DN enthusiasm is declining" theme was raised on the thread (p.154-155). Possible reasons for the slow sales were discussed then - disappointment with the wine and buyer saturation being the two main theories.
However, the next six releases (96, 100, 107, 89, 87 and 99) all sold out very quickly. Enthusiasm clearly still exists for the right type of offers.
Still, assuming each buyer's capacity / demand for more wine is not infinite, I imagine to some degree enthusiasm will naturally diminish for repeat customers with every case purchased.
The latest release (n.76) is selling relatively slowly, and once again the question rises of whether DN is losing steam. I don't know. This is large quantity tranche (800 bottles - and possibly larger, I did the quantity available trick with my shopping cart when it was first released and it showed at least 888 bottles available for purchase) for what has been hitherto the most common and quintessential DN type of release - another 2018 Napa Cab. (Ironically, this is likely one of the last two 2018 Napa Cabs to be offered - so common no longer). Preexisting customers have seen this particular kind of offer many times before and surely fed at this trough to their hearts content. So "only" 400 - 500 cases of this wine have sold in less than 24 hours.
Hard to gauge general enthusiasm, but personally, I bought 96, 100, 89 and 99 so I'm a bit hesitant for more at the moment. I do think it's a good opportunity for those that came late to the DN party to get a case of 2018 Napa Cab at a bargain. And based on the COLA-sleuthing, perhaps one of the last of its kind.

Curious, would anyone on here who has a few cases of past Napa Cab offerings be willing to sell a sampler pack? If not, no worries. Just figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask.

Re: de Negoce offer
no email here on #111, and I'm a pretty heavy buyer (40+ cases so far). Not sad, I would have likely passed anyhow.
Re: de Negoce offer
I didn’t get the email either, in either of the email addresses that I have signed up with. (I signed up a second time with my gmail address after EarthLink often delayed messages from De Negoce because they thought they were Spam but continued to buy from my original account and have purchased over 30 cases.) Perhaps no email went out but I would have purchased this. Kinda makes me mad.Eric White wrote: ↑January 13th, 2021, 5:51 pm no email here on #111, and I'm a pretty heavy buyer (40+ cases so far). Do you have a flip phone or something? It’s not hard to get the notifications by text.
I don’t know why the offers aren’t going out by email, or going out late these days. It used to be the opposite: the email would go out before the text.

I agree. If you're going to make it some offers text only, just give people a heads up. Why alienate people over something so trivial?

And for many, phone numbers are more personal than email addresses.

I initially thought 108, 109, & 110 were MV Winery, but with the Tempranillo addition, I'm leaning towards Charles B. Mitchell.

Perhaps the low price of $96 for the case ($8/bottle) helped in addition to the relatively low number of cases.john mccarty wrote: ↑January 13th, 2021, 4:53 pm Now you see it, now you don't.

For some reason n.99 and n.111 were both text-only offers - at least for me. I wonder if it was random or if it’s because both were for small lots (150 cases or less) - and if text-only notification will be the norm for such lots going forward

I was someplace with no cell phone reception, at least for AT&T. Got the text at 8:00 PM. I would probably have got it if I had received notice in time, but I really need to work on storage space, so missing it was not all bad. I think it went fast since it's something different, as far as I can tell the only Tempranillo offered, and cheap. Maybe people have enough Zin and Cab.
Also, has anyone received a shipping notice recently? I know they suspended shipping for December, but I kind of thought I would have heard something on #82 "Meritage" by now.

Re: de Negoce offer
No 118 Malbec is up:
Oh my. Juicy, rich, ripe, deep, dark, and delicious are just a few descriptors of this fantastic Chalk Hill Malbec...while I'm at it, I would throw in lush, intense and hedonistic too.
Produced by one of Chalk Hill's finest producers from some of the finest vineyards on Chalk Hill, this is a no expense spared, built to the nines Malbec with approximately 80% new French Oak. I paid more for this wine than I did many Napa Cabernet's actually. The wine sells for well over $60/bottle at the winery under a special reserve designation and is a stunning opportunity at $15/bottle, $180 per case. Magnificent juice!

I have to give the DN guys some serious credit. I've been regretting that Petit Verdot purchase since I made it. I emailed them to ask if there is any chance they would let me refund the purchase and they refunded me almost instantly. They would have been well within their rights to tell me to take a hike, so major props to them. More room for another cab purchase now
