TN: 2011 Biggio Hamina Cellars Pinot Noir Willamette Valley

  • 2011 Biggio Hamina Cellars Pinot Noir Willamette Valley - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley (4/24/2020)
Medium garnet, light lilac nose. Dry, light restrained fruit of ripe strawberries, some funky bitter cane tannins. Another night and I knew that this would improve, it’s getting really good with a bit more open time, fruit is starting to come through. Tart currants along with the strawberry and a bit of rhubarb. I got this on the Berserker covid quarantine sale and went back for another sixer. (92 pts.)

You cleaned us out Dennis. Thanks.

I may be the only one that likes '11 OR PN. A few years back when picking up some SoH wines, Byron said it looks like you like the '11 Bjornson as I had added several times.

I had the 2007 last night. After an hour of air it was lovely, very similar notes to Dennis, except the fruit wasn’t as shy. I’ve got the 2011 on deck, so I’m glad it showed well. Looking forward to working my way through my BD quarantine order.
