We’ve amply discussed the domaine wines of Jadot, but does anyone have a good list of the domaine holdings of Faiveley and/or Drouhin? Drouhin’s wines are reasonably marked (recolte de domaine or somesuch), but I’m not able to find good information on the Faiveley holdings.
The Drouhin holdings that come to mind are Clos des Mouches, Griottes-Chambertin, Petits-Monts, Musigny, Bonnes Mares, Amoureuses.
You can add Clos de Vougeot, Echezeaux, Chambolle Baudes, Grands Echezeaux, Nuits Procès, Vougeot 1er on the red side in CbN. In Beaune Epenotes, Greves, Sizies, Savigny Godeaux, Volnay Clos des. Chenes.
Thanks Robert, I did briefly go through those sites but I didn’t find confirmation or evidence of whether the plots were domaine or negoce. I’ll try and dig further on it tomorrow.
I’ll add on the subject of being lazy, the Faiveley website does mention the size of “our” holdings for each vineyard, so that is perhaps circumstantial evidence as to which are domaine and which are not. I haven’t had time to fully investigate yet though.
Im guessing one would have to go through all the tech sheets probably for each bottling. For instance on C-M it reads.
Joseph Drouhin owns several Premier Cru parcels. Since they are too small, these Premier Cru
vineyards (Noirots, Hauts Doix, Borniques, Plantes, Combottes) are harvested and vinified to-
gether. The name given to this wine is therefore Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru
I used the Anthony Hanson book for reference, and there must be others including Jasper Morris’ work. Jasper’s book is being revised but the current edition lists holdings for both domaines.
Thanks, I have been waiting for the revision of the Morris book, at this point it didn’t seem worthwhile to pick up a copy of the existing one. The Hanson book I worry might be at this point fairly out of date.
