'14 La Chablisienne les Preuses

Tonight with homemade crab cakes I thought I’d give this a go. Light yellow color; oyster shell and lemon-lime nose; medium bodied and decent length. Not on a Grand cru level but for what most GC Chablis is going for these days, this is a good value.

I tried this at the store front in Chablis, and agree while not at the strict Grand Cru level, it was and is a killer for the price. Certainly benefited from the great vintage…

love the price quality ratio of this large coop. Considering their sources from what, 200+ growers, they do amazingly well.

Already drank a case of this… [drinkers.gif] it’s my Chablis house wine!!! Wish I had restraint to age these out…they really do well with age…so I’ve heard.

The co-op is nearly always good value at all levels.
Are US Chablis prices rocketing up the same way they are here (Ontario)?

don’t know what your prices are doing but I still find good value in Chablis (minus Raveneau).

I would say 2014 was a little unusual here, since the great vintage shows through. But this is certainly one to buy in the good to very good Chablis vintages…
