Which Wine Are You Opening For Easter Dinner?

I have lamb chops marinating in oil, garlic, and rosemary, along with roasted baby white potatoes and roasted asparagus. Actually opening one of my own, which is somewhat of a rarity when I am alone: EMH Black Cat Classic 2014.

What’s everyone else eating/drinking?

2004 Paul Bara Comtesse Marie de France. Loved the Special Club but haven’t tried this one yet, very excited for it.

Probably going to be a Syrah. Grilling lamb.

2017 Goodfellow Whistling Ridge with a baked ham and the traditional sides.

2015 Keller Hubacker from Maggie.

Magnum of 2005 Henriot miliesme for a family zoom.

2010 Corton “Les Rognets” - Bertrand Ambroise -

With Duck breast -

2016 Sleight of Hand Funkadelic Syrah

our big easter meal is a brunch.

mimosas with whatever cava we can grab first! pairs pretty well with cinnamon rolls with orange cream cheese frosting, home made bacon, and frittata

With pork tenderloin we are popping a 2012 Peay Ama pinot.

Same; leg of lamb on the hibachi and 2004 Jamet [cheers.gif]

Chicken salads and 2015 Dauvissat-Camus Preuses.

2013 Bedrock Hudson TnS Syrah, also with a leg of lamb.

Well, close.
2006 Saxum, James Berry

Magnum 2008 Karl Lawrence Cabernet Sauvignon, regular bottling.

1999 Karl Lawrence Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Morisoli Vineyard with flannery new york and filet

I think 2015 Alban’s Syrah might be a step too far for my pork roast on paper, but it’s probably going to be that one just because it’s damn good.

Please report later how this is. Had the 1999 Herb Lamb Vineyard bottling about a year ago, I still think about it to this day.

The 2012 Peay are super good right now

2005 Joh. Jos. Prum Graacher Himmelreich Spatlese.
Unctuous texture, tropical fruit notes, just enough acidity to balance the richness. Yum.
Ham, scalloped potatoes and asparagus here.
