A tale of two Oregonian Pinots

Journeyed to the local wine shop (deemed essential by the Governor)

Patricia Green Cellars 2018 Reserve Pinot Noir - Deep nose, ample fruit, deep fruit and complexity, berries, and plum, amazing after about 45 minutes and better the second day

Cloudline 2018 Pinot Noir - light nose, medium finish and fruit. Berries and lighter in style. Also tasted after a day as well.

Patricia Green Cellars for me, was the better of the two. More complexity and deeper tastes and aromas

Individual tastes can vary.

I go along with this cellartracker review of the Cloudline PN- “Average Pinot”

The PG gets a composite CT rating of 90.9, and it is way too young to drink yet. I try it every year, and it is outstanding at the price level.

At the price point for me at $25.00, it is an easy buy.

Never heard of Cloudline. Once upon a time I was fairly sure I knew approx. 50% of OR Pinot labels (and Cloudline’s been around a while)…now, probably closer to 5%.

i’ve had a crush on Veronique Drouhin for a while

RT

Love me some Patricia Green Pinots - every one I’ve tried has been great. Bishop Block and Freedom Hill have been extraordinary

Having a crush on Veronique is de rigueur in these parts Richard.

You haven’t missed anything. One of the large local wine stores typically carries it. I purchased a bottle several years ago out of curiosity. Once was enough.
