Is Friday social or specific themed??
Social, Nola

Want to propose an optional theme?
Folks can participate, or drink what they have on hand

Can I make a suggestion. And I get I don’t have the big picture so if this a bad idea just ignore :)

Can we create a google sheet (or some online shared doc) with zoom meeting info updated with future events etc, And sent to / given access to all GCC members?
So essentially for all events (social or producer), GCC members can hop in.
1. Makes it easier for GCC members, plus for producer events it’s kinda an auto admit ticket
2. I gotta imagine this saves Frank a crap ton of time? Instead of answering PMs to 100 people 2 times a week?

Just a suggestion :)

Edit: or perhaps create a masked thread here. Like WB day preview day threads. Where GCC can view.
Locked thread so no random comments so it’s post after post of meeting info. ?

One suggestion or favor to ask. When posting the time in the subject like can you post both PCT and ET? Like : 10am PCT/1pm ET.

I couldn't make the Courtin event this morning for reasons I won't mention but in looking at it now I had it in my calendar at 1pm local time. It's hard to wrap my head around Frank and Todd posting events in Eastern time.

This is a suggestion for Frank, not me :)

I always post PDT/EDT on mine champagne.gif

I could not wrap my head around the time difference from France to PDT last night. I know it was silly when I asked where the producer was located but that’s why. Maybe I had too much sun lifting pavers, yesterday?? Idk newhere ?? Having both PCT & EDT helps. I love the idea of having a place we can see all the meetings!

I’ll be sure future Zoom Livestream sessions have Eastern and Pacific time zones by editing the titles

I think I've been pretty consistent in posting both Pacific and Eastern in the thread title. But in the case of Marie Courtin, I ran out of character space and I could only put one time zone in there so I just settled on Eastern Time.

I think he does, as then he can vet each person individually. I have a Google calendar created, but won't share it without permission (had to share it with my wife for scheduling, that's it). I think, particularly on the more popular ones, Frank wants to be able to be sure that those who 'get in' are Berserkers, not just randoms who take up the seats.

Ah totally understand.. (thus i was suggesting only the Grand Cru Cru people get access).
but not a problem if Frank doesn't mind the work..

Mark, the PM process doesn't bother me, as it gives me peace of mind about keeping the event space protected.

Any chance the first post in this thread could be updated as additional events are added? I do my best not to miss the announcements as they come up, but would be cool to have a list in one easy place to access. Feel free to slap me around for being lazy ;)

Done! I'll cut it off at 6:30 when I have my blind tasting (notes will be on WB, of course, as the whole crew is WB!)

Sean, you didn’t miss much. There were just 5 ppl and Todd wasn’t on for much of it.

I think for future zoom chats we should settle on a time the day prior and try not to change it. Not everyone is on WB all the time to see last minute changes.

If Todd's too busy or needs a break, I'd be happy to also set up a Zoom with my account sometime.

Just curious if anyone wanted to join me in a zoom wine chat tonight around 5:30 pm Pacific time. I'm going to be a little bored this evening. I know this is last minute, but if anyone's interested I can post a Zoom link.

We're concentrating on Champagne because Frank and Brad both concentrate on Champagne, and they have taken charge of these amazing sessions, so...if you want something else, feel free to suggest it, we'll chase someone down! cheesehead

Correct. Brad and I are cooking a few more for Champagne and will announce once we have them locked in. In addition, I did chase a few California wineries that I thought might be of interest to some on the Board and it's been hard to lock them down. So, for now, it will be Champagne focused for the next few, which for the bubbly lovers like me and others, you will enjoy what is to come.
My best wines for 2020:
2014 Marie Courtin Champagne Efflorescence Extra Brut
2012 Minière F & R Champagne Influence Brut
2008 Rhys Skyline PN SCM
2015 Ulysse Collin Champagne Les Pierrières
2014 Laherte Frères Champagne BdB EB Les Grands Crayeres

Kindness matters. Dignity matters. Accountability matters. Respect matters. LEADERSHIP MATTERS!
