I start 2 weeks of call Tue including a week of ER—means no alcohol for 2 weeks—so I opened a big one. Served cold, as it warmed it improved, but remained mostly structure and little fruit. Could coax some citrus but mainly acid, not corked, just right, a bit nervous—like I am. Hopefully just a phase . . .

Was the first offering of Oeno for '96 called Oeno and some subsequent one rebranded to P2 when they introduced the branding? Memory foggy…if it is the former, was your bottle one of that first offering after the base release? I’m not sure what I will learn trying the original next to various releases of late disgorged renditions, but expect I will give it a try sometime just to see what the other side of the road looks like.
