TN: 2002 Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande

2002 Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande

On first night this wine was all about the bouquet. Cassis, a touch of raspberry, saddle, slight sweat, note of pepper—definite gamey note at one moment.
Opens in the mouth, a little tannic and tight, then really pretty; signature velvety mouthfeel, with surprising depth for this vintage, though not great length. Fun to follow, changes in the glass and light on its fight. More giving on the second night. Drink or hold.

I thought this a pretty little wine.
Your title is a little awkward though.

I fixed it for him

I see notes for this wine popping up a lot, then I scramble to my CT as I think I have some remaining, but I drank my last bottle in March of last year, unfortunately

Thanks, Todd,

And Markus!

I purchased a case of this for $40 a bottle at Costco back in the day and have gone through 10 of them so far. Always a classy, elegant wine.

So true–bet the last will be the best—always that way, no?
