I’ll preface this by saying I got lucky and got this for the initial price of $1/btl. That said this is a SERIOUS wine. Beautiful cut grass and lemon zest on the nose, very smooth palate with little sign of oak. Very pure and eminently quaffable.
2015 Alain Michelot NSG 1er Chaignots
Still perhaps the best kept secret in Burgundy. Complex, funky, and delicious.
2016 D&R Shake Ridge Ranch Mourvèdre
Wild yet light bodied but just gulpable. I’ve really never encountered a wine with these properties. You’re contemplating how interesting it is then notice the bottle is gone. Only one left, sadly.
