Purchased upon release 8-10 years ago. I have no idea what the base vintage was. This spoke Krug in volumes. Slight oxidation, honeyed nuttiness, great acidity, this had both maturity and youthful freshness. Makes me really anticipate the 164 eme’s 10 years after.

Those are amazing after ten years. Do you have a photo of the bottle or the cork? With those, it’s often possible to divine the disgorgement and base year.

Krug grand cuvee with age (8-20+ ish) is probably my favorite champagne. It’s so good I rarely buy vintage champagne anymore.

Probably a 2001 base, but could also be the tail end of the 2000 base. Both have aged wonderfully.
