TN: 2014 François Raveneau Chablis 1er Cru Butteaux

  • 2014 François Raveneau Chablis 1er Cru Butteaux - France, Burgundy, Chablis, Chablis 1er Cru (3/7/2020)
The nose is sea spray infused with mint and fennel. The palate is so pure, precise and layered. Citrus fruits have a crystalline quality and the finish is an energetic, minty mouthwash. The acidity is simply brilliant as is the wine.

Similar to 14 Ramonet, 14 Raveneau is also so good! Have only had the village Chablis so far.

MdT killed it also chez Raveneau in 2014. That’s a great note, jh.

Sounds great although the prices for this are now just ridiculous in the US. I prefer wines like Boillot Mouchere and several 1er cru Meursault that are half the price of the MdT from Raveneau.

Expensive, Butteaux so delicious.
