Two Excellent White Burgs

2014 Domaine Roulot Meursault: Really bound up by its sulphur. Super youthful and tight. Loads of smoky mineral, some green melon, citrus and pure white peach. It is compact and direct, with a razor sharp line of acidity. Excellent village wine that requires a few more years to unfurl.

2016 Jean-Claude Ramonet Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Ruchottes: Plenty of spearmint to the nose along with pure white peach and aniseed. It is deep and wide in the mouth, with great presence and no excess fat. It is elegant, beautifully balanced and possesses Grand Cru like intensity and length. Beautiful wine.
