TN: NV Cupano Vino Rosso

Brilliant. This is my first time with the table wine from Cupano. Absolutely no sign of anything relating to vintage, but as the entoeca told me the few bottles they have were received a short time ago (from the producer). For such a young wine, it’s not only very approachable, it’s totally ready. Moreover, it’s the mouthfeel, and the finish that proved hauntingly good. The first glass was medium-bodied, with the most sensual, delicate layers of sweet red berry fruit. This is the kind of wine that makes you pause during your first sip, as if to stop time - it did for me, anyway. All the acid, balance and length one could ask for from a simple (i.e. not Brunello) table wine from this region. I will be acquiring all I can find, and I’ll never stop looking. I’ve sent a message to Andrea, the new winemaker, to see if this is 100% Sangiovese, or some blend. Drink now thru 2028. highly recommended

Tasted 5 different vintages of Brunello, all superb.

×× Andrea confirms, it is 100% Sangiovese '12, '13, '14, and on ××
amazing
