My 20+ year old Vinotheque 700 QT has started to have an issue.
Instead of cooling to the correct temp, it is cooling constantly to ~35 deg F. When I realized this I shut my unit off (good time for this to happen btw, as the unit doesn’t need to run much at all in the winter.
I was thinking this might be a simple issue like a bad temperature sensor, but I have no idea where to get a replacement
Any thoughts?
Any idea where I could get a new temperature sensor (this is the design where a probe is stuck in a bottle filled with water)?
Adding 2 pictures
1 is the probe and the other is the analog temperature setting (maybe there is a controller in there)
Mark,
Even though the company no longer sells cabinets, it appears they still sell parts. Have you contacted them? I had my sensor replaced several years ago (they shipped the part and I did the swap out). Also had the unit practically “rebuilt” by a local company that specialized in wine fridges. They ordered the parts and did the install.
Good luck!
Cheers,
JP
Thanks John. I have not, but will contact Vinotheque to inquire about replacement parts.
