I ordered nothing from flannery but had to replace. I bought Salt Vine and Grassel only.

Geez, same thing happened here...pretty disconcerting to think authorize.net may have been compromised.

I also bought from Flannery and used a different card than i do for wine purchases and received a fraud alert the next day. Of course, i do not blame Bryan and Katie - glad the card company caught the activity.

Thanks for the response Bryan and the great deals!

I got a charge on my card too, Comcast which I cut the cord over 5 years ago. And I purchased from Flannery on BD.
Make sure you check your bills carefully since I wouldn't have noticed the comcast charge until way too late...

BTW, I used a visa card, not AMEX

Chase flagged an unauthorized charge for Allegiant air tickets on the 27th. I had used my card for Flannery and JB Neufeld the day before. Card was cancelled and new one reissued.

I just did a manual check on my credit card website.
For each charge, there's a description whether card was present or not. This made parsing my charges easier.
Seem like all the charges where card wasn't present was the large comcast order and a bunch of amazon purchases. I'll need to check my wife's amazon purchase history on her account.

Last wednesday I received an email from capital one saying in effect ok we changed your address as you requested. I logged in and looked at my account and saw a new mailing address for me in shawnee, ok. So i called the fraud dept and alerted them it was a fraudelent event and was told my card had just had a ping of someone checking prior to charging - from a toyota dealer in sacramento. I looked at all of my recent charges and the only one place where I had made a purchase that wasn’t a recurring charge was, you guessed it, flannery beef. So i immediately called and bryan answered (he was the only one in at 8 a.m.!). I told him what i knew and he said he would start working from his end to get this resolved. It seems that someone at the his credit card processor’s end (not the correct term I am sure) has one or more criminals there.

If you haven’t signed up for alerts with your credit card companies you absolutely must. Within five minutes of someone fooling with my account I had a notification.

I also had some fraud which started late night/early morning after BD11 Preview Day and I got a call midday concerning the card. I also had a purchase of like $0.72 which was the last of four charges before the card handling company called me. All other charges were caught and declined prior to that. I assumed it was from something else but I purchased from Flannery that day. The card I was hit on was the one I used to purchase the meats.

Bummer for the business. This is one of those things they can only do so much for without going broke buying security. I hope they are able to clean up their end without too much pain.

I was quite impressed with how quick my card company caught it. The purchases were not that big. The last time I had fraud it was obvious by the pattern. This one was more random.

An annoyance because this was a fairly recently re-issued card and it's the one we use most, and for many recurring items, so I get to go through and re-enter all of those yet again...
As an aside, this is why I have a dedicated card I use STRICTLY for recurring charges. Since I switched to that system, I have never had to replace that card due to compromise (while I've had numerous compromises of my other cards over the years).

I bought from Flannery. Used AMEx. Shortly after got a notice that they thought my card was compromised (they did not tell me how they identified the compromise) and were sending me a replacement. No bad charges on my card though I suppose they could have stopped some.

Just got a note from the Flannery team at 630 pst acknowledging the issue. Classy move, had plenty of fraudulent charges and never an apology.

First ribeye was delicious as expected.

Flannery is always beyond exceptional with customer service so I'm sure they will take really good care of everyone. Wouldn't the processor be responsible for catching this?

I purchased only Flannery. Card compromised the next day. Caught by the bank, got a text and stopped within minutes. Some weird consulting firm in California for like $2400.

Minor pain in the arse. Not Bryan's fault... CC processor's. Steaks great as always.

Had I realized it would be a crime scene I'd have put a chalk outline around the meat.

Thanks Bryan for addressing and checking on their side. And also thanks for the OP for alerting me to this as I thought mine was an isolated case at first. Regardless, I love Flannery beef and definitely need more the next time there’s a sale.

Yep, got mine too. Purchased my first Flannery order, looking forward to an occasion to fix them.

Several fraud charges to a place called Bob's Wood Specialties for almost $1000 and some others at a place called AMCONOUTLAN for under $100. New card being expedited.

I'm glad to see how many CC companies recognized fraud and acted to protect the card holder. Unfortunately, the businesses that accepted the fraudulent charge may be out the product/money. The ticket companies can recoup all but the fees for the charge and the charge back. Worse, it's considered a petty crime, usually with no investigation because of jurisdiction issues and if a person is caught, little or no prosecution. I get an obviously fraudulent order, I have to track down the victim and notify them because the bank will NOT call the card holder to confirm the order by policy. All the best to Bryan.

Not trying to bash Flannery and hoping it’s not them as I have purchased multiple times in the past with no issues and live their product, but based on the data points from this thread, there is zero reason to believe it’s not them or one of their partners...
I had the same thing happen when I bought a plane ticket from a consolidator recently. Suddenly I had 10 paid Netflix accounts that appeared as the charge posted. I just got AMEX to issue a new card. I don't understand the breach. I don't think I would blame Flannery for this. This is the first time I have had this happen in a long time and there is no reason to believe it was someone at the consolidator site. Lots of this going on recently.

Maybe, those who purchased Flannery and had not been hit, should call their bank and cancel the credit card used for that transaction and have a new one sent before it is too late and you get hit.

So much fraud....so little time. I imagine the credit card companies fraud departments are kept working overtime with all the fraud happening out there, now on an international level and tied to criminal gangs and hackers.

Purchased flannery. Just got hit. Damn.
Maybe, those who purchased Flannery and had not been hit, should call their bank and cancel the credit card used for that transaction and have a new one sent before it is too late and you get hit.
Thought about doing this too - settled for setting a fraud alert on my AmEx account for any card not present and other transactions, email and text.
My avatar is a twelfth century Berserker Lewis rook, from the British Museum. "He stands armed with a sword and exposes his huge teeth with which he bites into his shield. It is this gesture that identifies him as a Berserker – a fierce warrior drawn from Norse mythology that bites his shield in a self-induced frenzy prior to battle."
