  • 2011 Concha y Toro Cabernet Sauvignon Don Melchor - Chile, Maipo Valley, Puente Alto (2/6/2020)
Day 1: Pencil lead, raspberries, spices, soy, blueberries and rose petals. Medium finish. Not a great Don Melchor at this stage. Hopefully improves on day 2 and 3. 90 points
Day 2: This wine is not doing it for me and while it is not bad the price tag does not offer value. Soy, spices, blueberries, grape jam and floral notes. Medium finish. So many better wines out there for less money. 89 points
Day 3: Very disappointed in this wine. Weak. Raspberries, blueberries, dust, earth and floral. Short to medium and lacks concentration. 89 points.
Recommendation: Pass as this does not deliver and should be consumed sooner than later. (90 pts.)
